Small friendly village bar; unpretentious food, well made. The live music on Mondays has a good atmosphere. One of the few venues which was reliably open and welcoming in the first week of September.

Came here tonight ( Monday 2nd December ) for the first time and had a brilliant night. Food was amazing and at only 10€ for 3x courses amazing value. There were about 14 musicians playing French folk music all night and were all brilliant. Booked for the following Monday ... You MUST go. Booking is essential as numbers limited . 5*

Merci patron pour nous avoir servi notre "fish and chips" à une heure tardive dans l'après midi ! Simple et bon je parle du plat bien sûr ! Je recommande sans hésitation,le lundi soir notamment repas festif et convivial avec musique folklorique.

Nous sommes arrivés un lundi soir à 21h30, la place était comble, puisque ce jour de semaine est la soirée festive de cet établissement toute l'année depuis 15 ans.
Le patron, malgré un établissement complet, nous a trouvé et installé une table, l'ambiance était très festive (musiciens et musiques entrainantes) et le personnel très sympa et agréable, le tout au pied des remparts du château.
A noté que le prix de 15 euros, ( entrée, plat "2 viandes", fromage, dessert) d'un bon rapport qualité prix,est sans égal...
Le lendemain nous avons pu malgres l'heure 15h00, commander un plat....

The owner, despite the establishment being full, found and seated us at a table. The atmosphere was very festive (live music and lively music) and the staff very friendly and pleasant, all at the foot of the castle ramparts. Arriver à n'importe quelle heure et être servi dans un petit village c'est bien rare ! En plus là c'est bon, simple et pas cher. Le monsieur qui nous a servi est gentil comme tout, bref un endroit agréable où manger, boire et se poser à l'ombre.

Nous sommes venus jouer pour la Fête du village et ensuite un tour au Café de la Halle. Merci à Julien et Bastien pour l'accueil, toujours au top, cadre idéal, on vous conseille, en plus, de goûter aux lundis soirs avec leur soirée Repas Trad, musique et bonne ambiance au rendez-vous. Super !!! Endroit "familial", tranquille.... un des murs du bar n'est autre que la Roche sur laquelle trône le château de Bourdeilles !!! N'ai pas eu la joie de découvrir leur cuisine....
